Have you ever had a day or a week that made you feel whole? Luckily, I feel like I’ve been having those types of days since I’ve been home from school. Almost every day has been filled with something that has reminded me how lucky I am. My new job has been going really well and the people I work with are so kind and welcoming. The work days fly by due to the sense of unity between the staff. On the days I’m not working, I spend my time alone or with my family/friends, hanging out at home or going on different adventures.

These times are spent with the people and the moments that make me feel complete. Time should be spent doing activities with the ones that fulfill your ambitions. You’re only hurting yourself by not doing what you want. As we mature, we have to adjust to the balance between work and our free time. That free time is precious and should be used exactly how you please. Spend a day laying in bed and watching Netflix, or spontaneously buy a ticket to a concert in the city with a friend and make a night out of it. As long as you come home beyond satisfied at the end of the day, you achieved a new level of happiness. This happiness was controlled by your actions, but was also increased by sharing it with someone who has the same mind-set as you do.

The past month has exceeded my expectations all because of what I chose to do, and because of the people that I shared these moments with. There’s three more months left in this summer, and I have no doubt that the good times will keep on coming.
