Day 23 of 31 : Dream Job
Before college, I was constantly changing my mind about what I wanted to be when I was older. I wanted to be a professional chef, a math teacher, a veterinarian, a photographer for National Geographic, and even a manager for musicians. Some ideas were based on hobbies I enjoyed growing up. College has been a huge factor in guiding me towards my passion and helping me focus on what I hope to achieve as I grow older. Whatever my job ends up being, my main goal is to make a difference. I hope to study animal population growth/decline and create conservation plans for species that are at risk of endangerment/extinction. The more I learn about the world around me, the more I can inform others and raise awareness. I fully believe that my generation has the power to change the world for the better and I can’t wait to be a part of it.
This video about the re-introduction of wolves into Yellowstone National Park was one of the biggest reasons why I changed my college major to Environmental Conservation. It’s a great representation of the positive impact I hope to have on the natural world that we’re so lucky to have. Check it out! –> How Wolves Change Rivers
