Thrift Haul : Searching for Work Clothes!

Hello & happy Thursday! <– I think that’s my new intro! 🌞

I had a half day at work earlier this week, so I headed on over to Savers. I realized that I needed a few business casual shirts for my new job, so I thought I would try my hand at thrifting them. I got lucky this time & I’m really excited about what I got. I can wear them to work, or dress them down to be more casual, which is my favorite part of thrifting – the versatility of the pieces!

First, I wanted to share the items I didn’t purchase ;

I loved both of these pants, but they were just a tad too big. I loved the style of the shirt, but I havent learned how to properly wear lengthier shirts, so I hung it on the “no” rack.

I also found a summery top from Urban Outfitters, with the tag still on it! I wanted to include this shirt to show that not everything you find while thrifting is old and torn up. Most of the pieces you find are in great condition, they just weren’t ‘in style’ for their previous owner. The original price was $24, Savers price is $7.99 – not bad if you ask me!

Now to the good stuff ;

First is this linen shirt, which is perfect for warmer days! It’s a powdery pink color – great for the transition into fall. I can tuck it in to flowy black pants, or jeans. Price – $6.49IMG_0581

I decided to grab a black and white striped t-shirt, and threw out (not clean enough for donation) the ones I already had at home! Price $4.49. I had a 50% off of an “up to $10” purchase, so I ended up paying $5.49 for both shirts. IMG_0576

I fell in love with these shirts the moment I saw them on the rack! I adore the colors with the collar! Had to have them. Price $6.49 each.

Lastly, this white shirt with the black stripes. As you can tell, I was gravitating towards all types of stripes this day! I love how light it feels & how subtle the stripes are. Price $4.49.IMG_0571

The grand total was ~$23!! I would say this was a very succesful trip for items that I can wear to work & also wear on a day-off.

I would love to do a lookbook for thrifted business casual outfits! Let me know in the comments if you would like to see that. 🤗

Stay rad,

Caroline Abigail
